About myself
I am a psychiatrist and head of the Department for General Psychiatry 2 at the LVR-Klinikum Düsseldorf. In addition, I also serve as Deputy Medical Director of the LVR-Klinikum Düsseldorf.
If you would like to make a clinical appointment, please contact the Outpatient Clinic for Disorders of Social Interaction.
I am also a professor of psychiatry at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (Munich, Germany), a faculty member of the International Max Planck Research School for Translational Psychiatry (IMPRS-TP) and associate faculty member at the Graduate School of Systemic Neuroscience (GSN; both: Munich, Germany).
Clinically as well as scientifically, my approach is driven by the idea that we can think of psychiatric disorders as disorders of social interaction and that we should consequently investigate the behavioral and neural mechanisms of social interaction in order to understand the social constituents, manifestations and consequences of psychiatric disorders.
